PowerKey allows you to perform block encryption of files and folders with any of the 8 well-known crypto algorithms (Blowfish, Cast, 3Des, Des, Gost, RC2, Rijndael, Twofish).

At first, the data is compressed using zip method with ratio 0..9 (available on selection) to speed up the encryption process.

After it the encryption is done and you receive a file with the extension .pkey as output. You are free to select any cipher mode to be used by the programm (we recommend using Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) Mode).

One of the very useful features of PowerKey is that it allows you to create SFX packages by checking the appropriate checkbox on the encryption bookmark.

PowerKey's SFX files can be extracted on any other machine running WIN 9X/NT/2000/Me/XP. Another very useful feature is Anti Password Spy protection that prevents your passwords to be read from '*****'

secretly.

PowerKey also has secure deletion bookmark where you may choose what files/folders you want to wipe. PowerKey's low level Wipe is the best choice for performing 100% unrecoverable deletion.

If you'd like to change the password for already created .pkey file this is provided by Change Password utility.

If you spend lots of time trying to choose the password for your new package, you may use Password Generator utility which provides easy and fast generation of passwords, which are prooven to be strong (such passwords are resistant to different brute force attack metthods).

This program allows you to encrypt and hide a message in a fileHermetic Stego will allow you to encrypt and hide a message (the contents of a computer file) in another file so that the addition of the message to the container file will not noticeably change the appearance of that file.

If the file which has been hidden is deleted then there is no indication that it even exists, but it can still be recovered when you need to get at it.

This program allows hiding a file of any size in one or more BMP image files, with or without the use of a user-specified stego key, so that the presence of the hidden file is undetectable (even by forensic software using statistical methods) and if a user-specified stego key is used then the hidden file can be extracted only by someone, using this software, who knows that stego key.

Later versions

of most web browsers will display BMP image files, so it is possible to conceal information within a picture on a web page.

Hermetic Stego allows two operations: hiding a message file in single BMP image file or in a set of BMP images and extracting a message file from a single BMP image file or a set of them.

There is no limit on the size of the file to be hidden because Hermetic Stego can hide a message file, not just in a single BMP image file, but in a set of them -- as many images as needed to contain the message file.

The bits of the message are inserted into the bytes of the image files randomly and in such a way as to defeat the use of statistical tests to reveal the presence of a hidden message.

The program can be used with a user-specified stego key or with a default stego key; use of a default stego key allows sending a hidden message to another person who does not know what that stego key is.

The stego key (user-specified or default) is used not only to facilitate random selection of bytes for hiding message file bits but also is used to encrypt the message file.

With NShred you can eliminate confidential information and data from PC drives. Name, size, contents of erased file or folder can never be recovered, by any software or hardware means. NShred is a tool that helps you to erase and destroy a folder or file.

When you delete a file or a folder in Windows it is not actually erased. Simply, the hard disk descriptor table is updated and the file entry is removed. So, the actual bytes of the file remain on the disk.

Even when the file area is overwritten, it is still possibile to recover data, by applying certain laboratory procedures since it's rare that a portion of the hard disk is rewritten more than 5/10 times. It has been calculated that information is completely unrecoverable only after more than 30 rewrites.

NShred detects the file area on the hard disk or other drive. This area includes

metadata on file, such as name and date. The area is then rewritten 'n' times depending on the procedure. For instance, with DOD algorithm, the file area is rewritten first with "0" bit, then with "1" bit, then with a random byte.

After rewriting, the file area is reduced to zero, the file renamed with random characters and finally deleted. This procedure guarantees that not even a single byte from the former file can ever be retrieved.

While the majority of shredding tools are "brute force" and "operating system agnostic" erasing tools, NShred behaves accordingly to the underlying Operating System (OS), denying the user the possibility to turn it unstable.
